Fall Front Porch Decor

Uncategorized

I love creating unique Fall Front Porch Decor each season! Last year’s was one of my favorites, so this year I had to keep it creative and do it up big!

To start this year’s fall front porch, I did a big pumpkin haul! In total I got 273lbs of pumpkins and it cost me $125.

I used real pumpkins, partially because there weren’t a lot of faux pumpkins left. I gave you the most realistic faux pumpkin roundup and they all sold out! A fun and fast tip: mix real and faux pumpkins. I do this with flower arrangements too! If you mix them, nobody can tell! And you can easily – and cost effectively switch out the real as needed!

The excitement I felt while thinking about putting this year’s fall porch decor on my newly bricked porch is really what kept me motivated throughout the whole project. If you missed the tutorial on that, it was a big project…but I am so happy with it!

Most asked question I get asked this time of year for any of my fall front porch decor? How do I make pumpkins last all season?

The first step to making pumpkins last all season is to wash them. I used a power washer. You want to choose your power washer tip depending on how much pressure you want to come out. The wider the tip, the lighter the pressure.

Simply? You wash them and then spray them with clear enamel spray. It’s almost essential for any fall front porch decor to keep your pumpkins from getting yucky and rotting.

After we have our pumpkins situated, placed and in the perfect spot, I bring in my skeleton friend (aka Coco). He adds the right touch of fun, whimsy and spooky!

I love the rustic addition of the broom with the pavers and I added a hat, because what skeleton doesn’t have a little style?

This time of year is so fun for both kiddos and adults and I love making a statement right when you pull up to the house! Can’t wait for trick or treaters!
