Laundry Room Update

DIY | Home Tour | Interior Decor

This Laundry Room Update is one of my favorite projects to date. The transformation is incredible, and tell me you wouldn’t want to do laundry in this space now?

This laundry room is the perfect example of a finished space that developed into a fully designed finished space…this is now my favorite room in the home! Sharing all the details and the before pics below!

First I started with the peel and stick backsplash – which was SO fun and I learned a lot along the way. It’s such a simple way to update your home that still carries all the elegance of a real stone backsplash!

I added a one-of-a-kind  organic edge detail with the hex marble backsplash that really sets this whole space off! Afterwards, I installed this wallpaper, such a great way to update spaces in your home to make them feel fully designed and custom. Use code: REMINGTON10 for 10% off this wallpaper and site wide. This is where my laundry room started….

How crazy is the before? Creating the perfect functional space was my top priority, and bonus points when it’s designed beautifully too!

I went with the most gorgeous blue for the cabinets – ‘Wolf Grey’ by Benjamin Moore!

The details get me! They are great to look at, but serve a purpose!

For this Laundry Room Update, I used the ‘Sunny’ Wallpaper from Copper Corners Art. I prefer pre-pasted but comes in peel and stick option too. They have 8 colors – I used the dark gray. Use code REMINGTON10 for 10% off any of her papers sitewide.

The room is so functional and organized now. It tends to be large for a laundry room – it’s 15.5ft x 17ft. But the great part is it doubles as a creative space for me to work on crafts, sew, paint, frame and all the other crazy projects I get myself into.

For finishing touches on our Laundry Room Update, I painted the organic backsplash wall same color as interior doors throughout my home – which I truly love. It’s ‘Cheating Heart’ by Benjamin Moore. You know I love a good dark door or cabinet with white interior. Click here for more details on my doors & door hardware. I cover all my favorite door choices and crystal knob hardware as well!

The rolling island is so convenient! We had it custom made in white oak and it measures 74″x 47″ at countertop height.
I went with metal countertops for an industrial, but warm look. I wanted stainless steel but that tends to be very expensive. So we went with a powder coated metal to get the look for less! I like them but they haven’t held up as well as I thought they would, so just be mindful when designing that they do scratch easily.

I am so excited with how this Laundry Room Update came together – the styling, framed personal sketches, and fine details make my designer heart so happy! What is your favorite room in your home?
