Small Shop Favorites - Remington Avenue

It’s the time of year where we are looking to treat our family and friends and I like to check out my small shop favorites before big box retailers!

A little goes a long way for these manufacturers and it’s the best time of year to support the small shops that work so hard all year round! Small shop Saturday is this Saturday, so I’ve rounded up my favorite small shops that I think you’ll love. Each of these shops carry a wonderful story that I think we can all relate to. I want to share my personal favorites and encourage you all to explore what they have to offer.

I adore Mary Catherine and Copper Corners, she is a full time mom that decided to take a painting class to find the part of her that had been lost. She is such a talented fine artist and I love the new “Home Alone” painting she created last year. As you probably know, I have several of her wallpaper prints in my own home i.e. Laundry room, pantry, living room, powder bathroom, and I’m sure more to come. Chelsea McShane is an incredible artist and her pieces make great gifts. All of her pieces come in multiple sizes and formats, like canvas, acrylic block, or paper. The Nativity Scene and The Last Supper are two of my favorites! They are the perfect additions to any room of the house for the holiday season. And if you remember when I shared Juni’s nursery, I have a set of 3 paper prints in the floating frames. The angel piece holds a special place in my heart. Its a beautiful reminder of my late sister who passed away at age 18. I gifted my entire family an acrylic angel last year, and It makes me so happy to see this representation of my late sister in each of their homes. The holiday can be really lonely and emotionally difficult for those that have lost loved ones. This piece has brought myself and my siblings a little bit of joy in her remembrance.
