Ingredients

  • 2 lbs granny smith apples About 4 large apples cored and sliced into 8 pieces. Unpeeled
  • 2 lbs honey crisp apples About 4 large apples cored and sliced into 8 pieces, unpeeled
  • 1 lbs oranges about 2 large oranges peeled and sliced into 8 pieces
  • 1/2 cup Truvia or sweetener of choice or 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 6 cups water can add more after its cooked to dilute

Instructions

  1. 1. Place all ingredients into your Instant Pot or Pressure Cooker.

    2. Cook under high pressure for 10 minutes, and let it release all pressure naturally.

    3. Stir well.

    4. Place a large bowl on the counter. Place a large strainer across this bowl.

    5. Using a ladle, transfer the contents of your pressure cooker into strainer. Use the back of the ladle to smash the cooked fruit and get some of the pulp into the cider.

    6. Continue until you’ve extracted all the liquid and a good bit of the pulp. My kids actually ate the leftover apple pulp.  Tastes like spiced applesauce!

    7. Serve hot or cold, add liquor after fully strained and cooked if you want.
