Inside Our English Modern Master Bathroom
This week, I’m finally sharing our master bathroom — a space I envisioned long before construction even began. From sketches to reality, this room brings together bold design, natural materials, and the timeless character of our English modern style.

A Shower That Makes a Statement
The heart of this bathroom is the zero-entry shower I designed. I mixed tile patterns you don’t usually see together—and I’m so glad I took the chance. The final look feels intentional, layered, and striking.

With no ledge or shower pan, the floor gently slopes into a center drain. It’s sleek, seamless, and accessible.

I used Calcutta Borghini marble for the bottom third of the shower walls, the bench, and the window casing. The rest of the shower features a mix of textured tiles that play off each other in unexpected ways.

We’re still waiting for the euro glass enclosure, which will extend to the ceiling. This final piece will help keep the warmth in while finishing off the space cleanly.
The Round Marble Window

One of my favorite design moments is the arched window with marble inlay. I created this detail to bring in soft light while adding architectural depth. The marble casing frames the round opening beautifully, tying into the shower and countertop stone.
Custom Oak Cabinets & Curves Throughout
The white oak cabinets are custom stained by RL Henry Custom Cabinetry in Orem. We worked together to find a finish that complements the tones in the marble and adds warmth to the room.

Like the rest of the house, this master bathroom features curved lines and arches that give it an old-world softness. These subtle shapes help create flow and cohesion from room to room.

Soaking Tub with a View

In the corner sits our freestanding soaking tub, framed by windows that overlook the creek and natural landscape of our property. This light-filled nook creates the perfect place to unwind and completes the spa-like feel of our English modern bathroom design.
Future Plans for the Master Bathroom
We’re not quite finished yet—next on the list for our master bathroom are mirrors integrated into a wall trim design and crown molding throughout the space. I’ll also be adding wall sconces to bring in soft, layered lighting (still narrowing down my favorites!). This will tie in beautifully with the English modern elements throughout the room. I can’t wait to share that finishing touch when it’s complete!
