DIY Garage Transformation You Can Do in a Day

We just finished installing our garage organization system and it has totally transformed our space! For this DIY garage transformation, we used mostly assembled cabinets so you can actually tackle this project in a day!

I ordered just enough pieces to get us started, knowing we’d leave a portion of the back wall open until I was sure we loved it.

What I love most is the flexibility. These cabinets and drawers are solid and fully customizable. We added shelves, rods, hooks… even tucked our water softener inside one of the tall cabinets. They also offer fully stocked tool drawers that are beautifully organized. I love how there’s a place for everything!

What’s Next: More Systems Coming!

We’re already thinking about installing their track system in our other garage (the boat garage) for life jackets and boating gear. I’m also eyeing this system for my shop area. But I will tackle that mess another day!

Epoxy Flooring = Game Changer

Another thing that helps keep this space feeling clean is the epoxy garage flooring. It doesn’t absorb grease or dirt the way plain cement does, so it’s easy to maintain. I usually just hose it down or use the pressure washer every few weeks and it looks good as new. You can see our garage floor transformation in this reel right here.

Heavy-Duty Storage System for Seasonal Decor

We also added heavy-duty storage shelves all along the walls for our holiday tubs and seasonal décor. These yellow bins are my go-to for organizing everything from Halloween lights to Easter baskets. Also, these shelves are super strong and hold a ton without sagging.
