Finding the Perfect Kitchen Barstool
As you probably know, we’ve sold our house—and not just the house, but almost everything inside of it! We sold it fully furnished, which means we’re essentially starting from scratch as we prepare to move into our new home. It’s exciting, but also a little overwhelming trying to find the right pieces for every room. And let me tell you, kitchen barstools were at the top of my shopping list. Since we don’t have a dining table yet, we’ll definitely need a place to sit and eat!

What to Consider When Choosing Barstools
When picking the perfect barstool for your kitchen, there are a few key questions to ask yourself:
- Do you want the barstools to make a statement or blend in seamlessly?
- How important is comfort for everyday use?
- Do you have little kids who need more support or a higher back to keep them secure?
- What style matches your home best—modern, farmhouse, traditional, or transitional?
- Durability and ease of cleaning—especially if you have littles who are prone to spills and messes!
- Do you prefer them to tuck completely under the counter to save visual space?

A Chandelier I Couldn’t Leave Behind
Most of my lighting is staying with the house, but there was one piece I just couldn’t part with—the stunning chandelier above my bathtub. I loved this chandelier so much that it’s coming with me to the new house!

The good news? It’s currently 36% off—almost half of what I originally paid for it! If you’ve been dreaming about adding a statement light to your home, this is your sign to snag it before it’s gone!
Since I couldn’t leave the new owners without a beautiful fixture, I replaced it with this gorgeous bubble chandelier.

This light is so versatile—it works with any style of home, and it’s one of the most popular designs right now. I was thrilled when I found a look for less version that delivers the same high-end feel for a fraction of the price!

Can you tell me what you have on your lower windows in the bathroom so you don’t need any privacy shades? Good luck on the move.
Love the first 2 wood bar stools. HATE metal bar stools. Had them, bought very expensive metal stools and ended up donating them all to a school fundraising garage sale I hated them that much. Despite great felt protective pads of every kind they always scratched the wood floors at every turn. Worse yet the kids hit and hurt themselves bumping etc. on the metal frames even though it was not sharp to touch. They were noisy, a mess to keep clean without finger prints and food marks always on the metal. My kids are careful and still we had constant issues. I would never ever buy metal again and I would not even take for free that’s how much trouble they were. Bar stools get used constantly, everyone is eating, moving, in motion doing things in that kitchen island area and metal is not the material you want with a family of kids.
