30A is an absolute dream and our Spring Break did not disappoint! I pulled together the ultimate 30A Florida travel guide – this is a must on your destination wish list!

We went with friends and their children and it was ideal! Kids played with the other kids and parents, well actually were able to relax – what a concept!

To Stay: I would say our number one recommendation would be to get a VRBO or AirBnb with a private beach. I know, it seems ‘made up’…but it’s amazing. We were there during spring break, so it was peak busy. The public beaches were completely packed before 9 am. But the private beach allowed us to go out on our own time and have space to spread out between our families.

Having our own little beach made playing and relaxing so much easier. It was a true vacation! We were also able to have our own bonfire, keep beach chairs set up for us, and swim in the gorgeous ocean.

When we weren’t in the ocean, we were exploring the cutest towns along 30A! The streets are so beautiful and lined with flowers. It’s perfectly quaint.

What we all love on a travel guide: the food! We asked for recommendations from ya’ll and you didn’t fail us!

Sushi at O-KU was SO good. Some other faves that came highly recommended: Georges, Bud and Alley’s, Hurricane Oyster Bar, Fontville for breakfast, Boshamps, Great Southern, La Créme Tapas and Paradis in Rosemary Beach, and do not sleep on North Beach Social.

Another big highlight for the group was having our own Hibachi night on the patio of the VRBO. We had a view of the ocean and our very own hibachi chef! It was delish and the kids loved it! It was so fun to spend the night relaxing at home, but still indulge in some fun.

What to do: We spent our days biking, exploring, playing in the sand, and fishing! Fishing was a new one for my girls. It took a bit, but they all were obsessed by the end of the week! Chris was in literal heaven. 30A has some awesome fishing and we caught some seriously big game. Lou caught a Red Fish so big, she had to release it according to the law. The pictures don’t do the beauty of them, justice.

We especially loved the Old Florida Fish House, and the city as a whole is super bike-able. We were able to explore all the town shops and beaches with the bikes from our VRBO. Tandem electric bikes are not for the weak! They are harder than they look!

We all agreed, one of the best things to do to end the day in 30A is a beach sunset. At least one night…you have to make it happen. The sunsets are stunning!

And the sand is seriously like white powder, it is so soft. Doesn’t feel like any other sand we had ever experienced. We tried skim boarding and it’s so fun!

Our families all stayed off of Alys beach at this VRBO which is incredibly family friendly. The 30A area is almost made for multi – family trips. The space was big and fit all of us perfectly. They even had an ‘I forgot’ jar for those little things you most definitely thought you remembered but you indeed, forgot.

At Alys beach, everything is white according to city ordinances, so it’s like this perfect little idyllic city. So dreamy.

It was so fun to dress with pops of color and these suits, cover ups and dresses pulled through! Love that old Florida feel where color is always welcome!
