A Room-by-Room Guide to My Tile and Countertop Selections

As I’ve shared snippets of my home renovation journey, one of the most common questions I’ve received is about my tile and countertops. I’m excited to finally compile everything in one place for those who have been curious! From the Pietra Gray Porcelain in my laundry room to the custom mosaic in my entryway, I’m diving into each room’s design details.
Room-by-Room Details
Primary Suite

I’m really excited about the materials I selected for the primary bathroom. For the primary suite (and the kitchen) countertops, I chose Calacatta Borghini from Bedrosians. We used it not only for the countertops but also for the shower bench and shower wall in the primary suite.
The shower walls feature a detailed design that combines Calacatta slab, Zellige tile, and Calacatta trim pieces.

The flooring is a jumbo Calacatta basket weave that flows seamlessly into the shower floor, and will be framed by a Calacatta border. This design creates a cohesive, luxurious look that feels both classic and contemporary.

Here is my design board to see how all of these details will come to life!

Girls’ Jack and Jill Bathroom

In the girls’ bathroom, I used Bedrosians Cloé White 5×5 tile with a chair rail insert, paired with Bedrosians Monet Mosaic 10 White Carrara. The mosaic is separated by Bedrosians Makoto Jolly Miter Blush at the top and bottom, adding a delicate, feminine touch to the space.
In the girls’ bathroom, I opted for the timeless Carrara Marble countertop in a 2cm thickness. I selected a Carrara here to match the cute flower mosaic tile on the floor (also Carrara).
Upstairs Bathroom
The upstairs bathroom features Bedrosians Aurora Basket Weave on the floor, bordered by Ferrara 3×6 Nero Marble.

The shower walls are lined with Cloé 2.5×8 ceramic white tiles, accented with a single band of 5×12 Nero Marble trim. You can see here how it creates a stunning visual transition from horizontal to vertical patterns.
Pool Bathroom Tiles & Countertops

The pool and guest bathrooms feature Calacatta Super White Porcelain. This porcelain mimics the look of natural marble but offers greater durability. Porcelain is a great option for spaces that see a lot of moisture and traffic.

For the walls, I selected Marin 4×4 tiles in Sand Dollar and Coastal Cliff to created an accent wall. I’ll be using Taj Mahal 30×30 Porcelain for the flooring and I love how it brings a natural stone look to the space.
Here is the design board that inspired the bathroom:

Guest Bathroom Tiles

The guest bathroom has Bedrosians Glorious White Brushed 3×12 tiles on the shower walls. Again, changing the directions of the tiles is a great way to add some interest to the space. Additionally, you can see I used a Honed Marble Trim to embolden the directional change.

To make the room look bigger, we used Ashbury Basketweave on the floor and shower pan for a seamless transition.
Laundry Room Countertops & Tiles

I am obsessed with with this the laundry room tile. These are 12×12 Blomma Honed Marble Mosaic Tile in Grigio. This design adds a lot of character to the space while maintaining a timeless, classic look thanks to the marble.

For the countertops, we used this Pietra Gray Honed Magnifica Porcelain in our Laundry Room, Back Pantry, and Kitchen Island. It has a really nice honed finish gives it a soft, matte texture.
Entryway Tile

The entryway is a standout area with a custom mosaic design. I created this space using three different types of marble: Calacatta Gold Honed, Crema Marfil Honed, and Bardiglio Honed.
We cut the gold and crema into hex shapes and the Bardiglio into small squares, finishing it with a triple border of crema bardiglio crema. This was a special order and worked directly through a sales associate at Bedrosians!
Powder Bath Countertop & Tiles

The powder bath features a Poseidon Crystal Quartzite floating stone vanity. This piece is truly a work of art, with its unique crystal-like appearance and deep blue hues. It’s the perfect statement piece for a small space.

We ended up having enough tile left over from the laundry room and guest bathroom shower that I used the scraps for my power bath floor!
Butlers Pantry

I chose a two-tone checkerboard pattern for my pantry because it’s a classic design that never goes out of style. I love mixing warm and cool tones in my spaces, and for this floor, we used a combination of honed Crema Marfil and Calacatta Gold marble. The result is both timeless and visually striking.
