Lighting Up My New Home with Wayfair

Finding the Best Lighting for Every Room

The new house is coming together, and one of the most exciting parts has been selecting lighting to enhance each space! Wayfair has been my go-to source for designer lighting, and I’m thrilled with the progress so far. Their selection of statement chandeliers, elegant sconces, and modern fixtures is extensive. Plus, their prices are often unbeatable, and their excellent customer service makes returns or exchanges hassle-free.

The hallway corridor is a standout feature in our home. I’ve spent hours finding the perfect lights and sconces to complement it. I chose Hanover 3-Light Statement Pendants in aged brass, which are already installed and looking fabulous. These pendants beautifully match the home’s architecture. Although I considered the Coolidge Brushed Glass Single Pendants, the traditional style of the Hanover lights ultimately won out.

I’m still deciding on sconces for the corridor, bedrooms, and office. Here are a few contenders:

Master Bedroom Chandelier Options

For the master bedroom, I’m torn between the Everly Quinn and Jibley Globe Chandeliers. Both have unique glass details that I love. The Everly Quinn is dimmable and comes in brass, black, and nickel finishes. Meanwhile, the Jibley is available only in brass but features a more intricate glass globe design. It’s a tough decision!

Living Room Statement Chandeliers

The living room chandeliers are already installed, and I couldn’t be happier. I chose two medium-sized Ansley 9-Light Traditional Chandeliers instead of one large fixture. This choice allows the ceiling timbers and fireplace to remain the room’s focal points while adding a cozy, inviting atmosphere.

Entryway Elegance

For the entryway, the Aimi Semi-Flush Mount in vintage gold leaf was ideal. Its wider profile complements the groin vault ceiling beautifully, making a subtle yet sophisticated statement.

Dining Room Designer Lighting

The Hudson Valley Cassian Chandelier in the dining room was a splurge, but it’s worth every penny. This showstopper commands attention from the living room, kitchen, and scullery. It effortlessly ties these spaces together with elegance.

Wayfair Lighting– Outdoors!

One of my favorite recent finds is the stunning copper lanterns I’ve chosen for the mounted outdoor lighting and my lamp post. As they age, these will add some timeless charm and pair perfectly with my copper awnings and gutters! In addition, I’ve selected a few similar variations for cohesion around the perimeter. Eventually I plan to install gas lanterns on our outdoor pergola to elevate the space even further!

A Few Bonus Finds

While lighting has been the main focus, I’ve also picked up a few other fantastic items from Wayfair for the new house. These include a cozy accent chair for the reading nook, a stylish area rug for the living room, and some beautiful bar stools for the kitchen. Wayfair truly has it all, making it easy to find the perfect pieces for every corner of our home.

  1. Great options!
Regarding the Ansley chandelier…the one in your house is different than the one on Wayfair. Where can I find the one in your house as I like the shape of yours best?
