2025 Classic Christmas Mantle

DIY | holiday | Interior Decor

My 2025 Classic Christmas Mantle went live this week and the look is unique and the style is different than anything I have really ever done! This year my brain had a vision for a big, bold oversized bow. Once I had that thought, the rest of the vision came into view and I knew I had to make it!

My love for a good Christmas mantle runs deep. They tend to be a centerpiece of the room and with a fun theme and pretty decor, it can make an entire room seem festive!

This year, since the bow was my main focal point, I decided to go symmetrical. Where I normally go with an asymmetrical style, the bow needed it’s own moment, you know? I decided to keep the rest of the decor and garland centered and I love how it turned out.

For this Christmas mantle look, I used two different garlands with different fullness and color to give it some depth. These are the same two garlands I use year after year , but every year they look different simply due to different styling. This year I simply draped the thinner faux cedar garland on the very edge of the mantle using command strip cord bundlers. From here, I placed the fuller garland on top. Tip: always secure the garland so it drapes over the front of the mantle. Do NOT lay it on top. This will give it a very full and luxurious look- like a waterfall effect, which I love.

Lastly, I twisted the ends of the garland on either side to make it more cohesive.

I used some pretty and simple berry sticks to spruce it up and finish it off! My color theme this year is deep reds and blues. Maybe not what most people would think of for Christmas, but creates a very traditional Christmas look. The end result is classic and has the prettiest textures. I love finding fresh ways to decorate for the holidays…it creates just a little bit of a different feel year to year.

The garland I used is prelit, but if you want even more lights – you could intertwine these! Happy decorating!

  1. Looks so lovely, and the toile is such an elegant touch – in addition to it being just the right red. Enjoy the holidays!
