Our Most Loved Living Space Makeovers
With just 8 days left in this house, the reality of moving is sinking in. This is part two of saying goodbye to our beloved home. Before we close this chapter, I want to take a moment to look back on the living space makeovers that made this house truly ours.
I’ve learned so much about the size and flow of our current home, and it’s definitely influenced how I’ve designed our new house. For example, our living room today is a lot bigger than what I’ve planned in the new home because I want it to feel more intimate and cozy. Our family’s needs have changed as the kids have gotten older, so I’m excited to design spaces that better reflect how we live now.
The French Country Kitchen
Our kitchen became the heart of our home. From casual breakfasts to hosting family dinners, this space was designed for gathering. Its bright, airy feel and functional details made it perfect for hosting. I loved installing the brick backsplash. It brought in so much warmth to the kitchen.

Living Room
The living room was where we unwound as a family. The layered textures, cozy furniture, and thoughtful layout made it the perfect place to relax and spend time together.

The Basement Kitchen
Transforming the basement into a functional extension of our living space turned out to be one of the smartest changes we made. The basement kitchen became a go-to spot for snacks during movie nights and a convenient prep space for entertaining. The clean finishes and cozy vibe made it feel like an extension of the main house.

Our Basement Main Space & Asymmetrical Wall
Taking a design risk with the asymmetrical wall in the basement totally paid off. It added architectural interest to the space while balancing the cozy yet modern feel. This became the ultimate hangout spot for the kids and their friends.

The custom drapes from my collaboration with Uptown Drapes really pulled the whole look together, adding warmth to the space. Not to mention the GIANT brick project that took months to complete. I love how the new painted brick wall added so much texture and a big nod to the outside masonry of my home.

My Globally Inspired Office
My office served as my sanctuary—a place to focus, create, and find inspiration. The bold wall color was a fun mix of masculine and feminine design styles. I can’t say I won’t be repeating this moody design in my new office. Hint Hint- it might just be the same!

The Indoor Trampoline Room
My kids loved the trampoline room. Having an indoor trampoline setup gave them a place to burn off energy, especially on rainy days. It was one of those unique spaces that truly reflected our family’s lifestyle. I will forever have memories of painting this freehand mural. There was something therapeutic about just painting with no boundaries of final design in mind.

The Perfect Study Loft
The study loft evolved as the kids got older. The intended design was a study nook, but eventually became the lego station! Countless hours have been spent building Lego creations big and small. The simple, functional design made it easy to adapt as their needs changed.

Laundry/Craft Room
The laundry/craft room was such a fun project. I installed DIY peel-and-stick marble tile, which made the space feel elevated and polished without a big budget. The wallpaper project was another game-changer—it added texture and personality to a room that’s both functional and stylish. This room became a creative haven where the kids could craft and I could tackle laundry in a space that felt inspiring.

Moving Forward
As much as I’ve loved this home, I’m excited for the next chapter—one where my kids and I get to dream up new living space makeovers that reflect who we are now. Our family’s flow and lifestyle have changed, and I’m looking forward to designing spaces that match where we are today.
