SPRING PORCH REFRESH: 4 MUST-HAVES

Spring Must-Have #1: Spring Wreath

Whether you are keeping in neutral or adding a pop of color, At Home has what you need.  I literally walked down 2 isles worth of gorgeous spring wreaths. These were my top picks! Since I have double entry doors, I went with 2 identical wreaths. In the end I liked the color these gradient purple wreaths brought to the porch. I just use string to tie my wreaths to the door, but you can also use suction hooks if your doors are glass.

Spring Must- Have #2: A fresh Door mat

After a brutal winter, my door mat took a beating. Spring is the perfect time to bring in a fresh new style. The doormat selection ranged from funny sayings & colorful graphics to traditional welcome mats and oversized options for double doors. Tip: Choose an appropriate sized mat to match the scale of your front door. Double doors should be matched with a mat at least 47 inches wide.

I actually went with this round doily looking rug to break up all the geometric lines. I love it!

To add a bit more size or color, you can always layer an outdoor rug under your door mat too. A great layering size is 3×5. I painted a rug right on my porch concrete. CLICK HERE for the full tutorial.

Spring Must- Have #3: Urns and pottery

I am always blown away by the wide variety of outdoor urns, planters, and pottery at the At Home stores. I picked up these glazed white urns a couple years ago from there and they remain on my porch through every season. This season I found these glazed white bowl planters to add to the mix. The prices were amazing.

Spring Must-Have #4: Fresh flowers & Greenery

Spring in Utah comes a little later than many other areas. We really don’t see a full bloom till end of April and sometime May. For this reason, I purchased some great faux green options.  I picked up 2 tall boxwood topiaries, a couple topiary balls, and the cone shaped topiaries to fill my urns. I’ll def be adding some fresh flowers as the season is in full bloom, but for now at least it looks alive!

The vine bunny was the icing on the cake. You can always sprinkle a little holiday flare to add to your seasonal porch. Now it’s your turn! Tag me @remingtonavenue with your new spring porch and use the new hashtag #remingtonavenueinspired if you followed the steps I shared here for your spring porch refresh. I’d love to share. Happy Spring!
