The Kitchen Hardware Details in My New Build

DIY | English Tudor Construction

I’ve had so many questions about the hardware I chose for my new kitchen. I’m excited to finally share all the details with you! Hardware is one of those finishing touches that truly elevates a space. I wanted to make sure every selection was both beautiful and functional.

All of my hardware is from Rejuvenation. I primarily used pieces from the Naomi Cabinet Collection with a few additions from other collections. I opted for a mix of aged brass and unlacquered brass finishes to create a timeless look throughout the house.

Kitchen Hardware

For the kitchen, I chose an aged brass finish since this space sees the most traffic and handling—especially with messy hands! Aged brass gives that warm, classic brass look but with a little more durability compared to unlacquered brass, which develops a patina over time.

I generally prefer knobs for cabinet doors rather than pulls—I just love the look! The general rule for placement is to position them 2.5–3 inches from the corner of the door, on the opposite side of the hinges. For upper cabinets, place the knob in the bottom corner, and for lower cabinets, place it in the upper corner for a consistent, cohesive look.

For drawers, I used pulls in various sizes to fit different drawer widths. The Naomi collection offers pulls in 4-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch options, which makes it easy to find the perfect size. I was also thrilled to see they had an appliance pull, allowing everything to match seamlessly!

Mudroom Hardware

I used unlacquered brass pulls for the hallway mudroom lockers

In my hallway mudroom lockers, I went with an unlacquered brass finish for a little added sparkle. I love how unlacquered brass naturally patinas over time, bringing character and depth to these spaces.

A special detail I incorporated in the mudroom is the star plates behind the locker pulls. These tie together the star cutout detail up top and reinforce my love for thoughtful design moments. This little touch makes my home feel personal and unique.

Laundry Room Hardware

For the laundry room cabinets, I opted for latches instead of traditional knobs or pulls. Since a laundry room is such a functional space, I love how these latches give it more of a workroom feel. This is where form meets function!
