Blackstone Bacon Fried Rice

Uncategorized

Oh boy does hubby have a new favorite toy! We made this Blackstone Bacon Fried Rice a few nights ago for my family and it was a hit!

Chris was very entertaining grill side, and the whole meal tasted just like your favorite hibachi style restaurant!

I bought Hubs this cast iron grill for Father’s Day. Our regular grill of 7 years finally broke, so I figured it was a good time to try something new. I had heard good things, but Chris was a skeptic. After just a month of consistent use… and when I say consistent, I mean eggs & bacon for breakfast, steak for lunch, and everything under the sun for dinner, he has now proclaimed this as his favorite grill of all time. THAT’S A BIG STATEMENT!

This hibachi Blackstone Bacon Fried Rice is a complete meal itself, but we cooked chicken and shrimp to go along with it anyway. We love brining the chicken in salt water the night before. It makes the world of a difference! It is extra juicy and flavorful chicken every time. The shrimp was thawed quickly and just cooked with seasoning salt and a squirt of lemon.

Would I suggest a Blackstone grill? Absolutely!

It’s great for big parties or for everyday use (or every meal like us). The griddle released a super consistent high heat, perfect for flavorful meats and meals. The best part, no dishes.

The clean up is easy, just like any cast iron product, you just season it. No soap, no water, Just turn up the heat, scrape the top, and add oil. If you don’t know how to season a cast iron pan, look it up! It’s the same process.

I did purchase the lid and accessory kit to go with the grill. We have used everything! If you are ready to take the plunge into GOOD FOOD PARADISE!

Now the Blackstone Bacon Fried Rice! You can really add in any veggies you love, but my favorites are broccoli, carrots, onion, and peas. Some other suggestions would be, corn, zucchini, or green beans. NOTE: to make a low carb version, just substitute cauliflower rice for white rice. Its so tasty too!

Blackstone Bacon Fried Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow onion
  • 8 oz bacon chopped (1/2 16oz pack)
  • 6 cups cups cooked white rice (I like leftover best)
  • 1 head fresh broccoli chopped small
  • 3 carrots chopped
  • 1 cup thawed peas
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. Make sure your rice is cooked, cooled, and dry. I love using leftover rice from the night before, but as long as its dry and cool, it will turn out great.

  2. Preheat your Blackstone to medium high heat. Add 1 tbsp canola oil and spread evenly across grill.

  3. Cook down bacon pieces and chopped onion for about 6 minutes or until bacon crisps. Add all your fresh veggies to the mix and cook on the grill til the veggies soften just a bit- about 3-4 minutes. Set to one side of the grill.

  4. Add another tbsp of canola oil and 1 tsp sesame oil to the grill.

  5. Scramble 3 eggs on the grill and add cooked rice to the grill.

  6. Mix everything together and continue mixing and flipping until rice starts to brown. Add the soy sauce, garlic. salt and pepper to taste.

Enjoy! It’s for sure one of our new faves! Definitely want to try more recipes on the Blackstone Grill!
