Holiday living room- blue and metallics

DIY | holiday | Home Tour

Welcome to my first holiday home tour of the season. Today I am sharing my holiday living room- blue and metallic accents throughout. Everything is different from last years tour with a couple of exceptions. My beloved manger scene stands behind the sofa and my tree is in the same place.  I loved finding my kids moving the figurines around and asking each other about who was who…kings, Mary, Joseph, shepherds, and of course baby Jesus. To me, Christmas is about HIM- His birth, His life, and His sacrifice. It’s also a chance to reflect on life and celebrate friends and family and be generous with others. The theme of this year holiday is written on my sign “I want a Christmas that whispers Jesus”. Beliefs aside, I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas season.

A little note on my FAVORITE SCENTED CANDLES (shown above).  I included these cute candles on my list of Favorite things last year (see this post).  They are adorable and smell delicious. Gift them to someone special, a teacher, coworker, or yourself. My favorite holiday scents are Peppermint and Tree Farm. Order Here

My Holiday Mantel- I want a Christmas that whispers Jesus

I collaborated with Teal Barn Signs to create this beautiful sign that says it all. I adore how it turned out and you can get your own with my code: REMINGTON15 for 15% off any of her Christmas collection thru Nov. 20th. Click here to get or gift one. My sign is the 37″x46″ size and my antique gold mirror is 5ft for reference.

The rest of the mantel look is basically just layers of different garlands. I started with a very real looking faux cedar garland, layered a wired bulb garland over top, sprinkled in some blueberry twigs, and draped some silver beaded strands and black and white garland underneath. I saved a video tutorial on my story highlights on IG @remingtonavenue. The holiday sign is layered over my favorite vintage looking mirror and accented with an assortment of candles. I used a collection of different holders all of which are linked below.

Above the Holiday sign I mounted a branch that I found outside.  I simply draped the same beaded garland and added some twinkle lights. A few glittery snowflakes finished the whimsical look.

If you saw my fall home tour this year, you probably recognize some pieces.  I didn’t do a complete overhaul but rather selected pillows, animal print boxes, and other decorative pieces that would transition well though all the holidays. All of my metallic bulbs, glowing Christmas trees, nativity, pillows, throws, and more are linked below.

My Christmas tree stands 12ft tall and carries a major presence in the room. This year I decked it out with leopard print and blue ribbons and added a some new blue bulbs & flowers to the mix. The rest of the ornaments are from past years collections. Like most of you, I reuse a lot of my decor each Christmas. If you like changing your colors a little, the easiest and most inexpensive way to do that is with ribbon. All my tree fixins’ are like below.
