Guess What? It’s time to decorate my son’s room. Some of my avid followers remember when I took on my master bathroom (in my last house) as part of the One Room Challenge series. It was a whole lotta work and a whole lotta fun. This time, I’ve decided to take on my blank slate boy’s bedroom and transform it into the bedroom of his dreams!
I hope you’ll follow along this design journey over the next 6 weeks. I have big plans for his bedroom and a lot of ambitious projects in the works. I will be doing everything myself! Wanna see what it looks like now?
As I said before, it’s basically a blank slate. There are many rooms in our new home that I’ve intentionally left blank. I love doing hands on projects and tackling them systematically. I guess it’s the artist in me, but I find it so much more satisfying to not only design a space, but to get my hands dirty in the process.
- Terrible organization
- Lacks any kind of cohesive design
- Needs an actual bed frame & bedding
- Needs a desk or creative corner to read
- Just gotta make it look way better!
Design plan for this blank slate boy’s bedroom
Each week I will update my project list below.
- Wall molding & paint
- Install Stikwood over ceiling beams
- Build his bed (I told you I had ambitious design plans)
- Large Furnishings
The first project I plan to tackle is the wall molding & paint. Be sure to check back next week for a full tutorial, progress, and updated project list!
