My Room by Room Paint Guide

DIY | Home Tour

One question that I get asked all the time, regardless of what room of the house I’m in, is always, “what paint color did you use?” This question could be in reference to wall colors or door colors or cabinet colors. So, I’ve decided to go room by room and list out the paint colors I used in my house, as well as include photos so you can get a feel for what they look like in the space. This is my room by room paint guide.

Starting with the base colors you’ll see throughout my whole house. All of the white walls, trim, and ceilings in my house are Benjamin Moore Simply White. And all of my interior doors are Benjamin Moore Cheating Heart. This is my favorite dark color. In fact, I love it so much that I’m considering using it in our new house as well. As for finish, I always get an eggshell finish when it comes to walls. Now let’s break down the rooms.

You’ll notice that I repeat a couple of the colors in a few different rooms. This is to keep continuity throughout the house. And because when I find a neutral color I like, I stick to it.

Hopefully my room by room paint guide is something you can refer back to if you’re looking to find paint colors for your own home! And if you’re prepping to paint but aren’t sure where to start when it comes to supplies, shop my painting and staining supply list.
